GUADALAJARA, Mexico: A reigning Mexican beauty queen from the drug-plagued state of Sinaloa was arrested with suspected gang members in a truck filled guns and ammunition, police say.

Miss Sinaloa 2008 Laura Zuniga stared at the ground, with her flowing dark hair concealing her face, as she stood squeezed between seven alleged gunmen lined up before journalists. Soldiers wearing ski masks guarded the 23-year-old model and the suspects.

Zuniga was arrested shortly before midnight on Monday at a military checkpoint in Zapopan, just outside the colonial city of Guadalajara, said Jalisco state police director, Francisco Alejandro Solorio.

Zuniga was riding in one of two trucks, where soldiers found a large stash of weapons, including two AR-15 assault rifles, .38 specials, 9mm handguns, nine magazines, 633 cartridges and $53,300 in U.S. currency, Solorio said Tuesday.

State police identified one of the men caught with her as the brother of an alleged drug trafficker from Ciudad Juarez, a city on the U.S. border, and said the man appeared to have been her boyfriend.

Zuniga told police that she was planning on traveling to Bolivia and Colombia with the men to go shopping, Solorio said.

When the former preschool teacher won Miss Sinaloa in July she gave an impassioned speech about how society should value women more, especially mothers. In October, she won the Hispanoamerican Queen beauty contest in October against competitors from across Latin America.

She placed third in the Nuestra Belleza Mexico pageant in Monterrey in September. That pageant sends its winner to the Miss Universe contest. For placing third, she was expected to represent Mexico in the 2009 Miss International contest.

Zuniga is from the Pacific coast state of Sinaloa, the home of the powerful cartel of the same name. It was not immediately known whether Zuniga and the men were being investigated for drug ties.

Lupita Jones, the national director of Nuestra Belleza Mexico, released a statement distancing the organization from Zuniga. Jones also said Nuestra Belleza knew nothing about "any illicit activity in which she could be involved."

The organization also says it will await the results of the investigation before making any decision about whether to strip Zuniga of her crown.

"Since 1994, Nuestra Belleza has been a serious, honest and transparent organization dedicated exclusively to preparing Mexican women to successfully represent our country en various contests and whose object is to show the beauty, value and intelligence of each one of them," Jones said.

Tatiana Limpias of Gloria promotions, which organizes the Hispanoamerican contest in Bolivia, told The Associated Press that their lawyers were also looking into the matter before making a decision about her crown.

Moddu Seenu, who is accused in TDP leader Paritala Ravindra's murder case, Julakanti Srinivas Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu was killed in ananthapur jail.

Chandu (Ram) is studying his final year engineering at Bellary. He is son of Tanikella Bharani who is brother of Nazar. Nazar is the head of united family having 3 brothers and a sister Rajitha. Chandu helps to elope his cousin who is daughter of Chandramohan and Rajitha. This irritates Nazar's family and they don't want to see his face. Chandu returns back to Bellary and finishes his engineering. One of Chandu's friend fall in love and the lover's father arranges her marriage with another person. This friend asks Chandu to help him in his

marriage.Chandu decides to bring the bridegroom from the marriage hall but Chandu's gang mistakenly went to another marriage hall and helps Genelia to escape out of that marriage. Genelia is a daughter of factionist and doesn't want to have marriage. After some interesting chases and action sequences Chandu helps her from out of danger and asks her to enter into his family as an orphan sent by their family friend. There she wins the heart of the family and the family decides to accept her as their family member and want to tie her knot with Chandu. Here the story enters into an interesting situation. Genelia is identified by her father's gang and they took her to their place. We need to watch the rest of the movie to know how Chandu wins over these action groups and wins the heart of Genelia. Artists Performance: Ready has perfect casting. Ram is very natural, charming and elegant. He did both action sequences and the comedy scenes very well. Genelia steals the show with her excellent performance. She is like an angel with lot of purity. Nazar is at his best in this role that demands extraordinary performance. Sunil has done a superb comedy role. His expressions as mada type character is so hillareous. Kota is very good in his role. Comedy by M.S.Narayana and Brhmanandam is extraordinary. Technical Departments: Srinu Vytla proved him self that he can handle both action and comedy very well. Dailogues by Gopi-Mohan and Kona Venkat are funny and catchy. There is lot of freshness in the film. Screenplay of the film is tight. Direction is exceptionally good. Music by Devisri Prasad is very good and the picturization of the second song "Ayyo ayyo daanayya" is very good. Production values by Sravanthi movies is so rich. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore did a marvellous job in delivering the movie on time by coordinating many charactor artists and we can expect this film can be another Nuvve Kavali for Sravanthi Banner. Camera by Hari Anumolu and Editing by Srikar Prasad are commendable. Highlights of the movie: Comedy scene by M S Narayana when he comes to Nazar House Chasing scenes in the forest When Genelia tells Nazar that she broke his momento First half of the film is excellent. Second half is even better. The assets of this film are director Srinu Vytla, Ram, Brahmanandam and Genelia. It is a full length entertainer and a family can watch the film with kids happily.
